Summary:

Diagnose network, hardware (PC-based) and software (of server and workstation) issues and work to resolve these issues in a timely professional manner.  Work with Technical Supervisor to design/recommend solutions for complex technical issues.  Install new networking and/or computer systems.   

Travel to client’s site and assist users with hardware, software and network difficulties (overnight stays may be required).  Resolve reported problems, analyze network/desktop/application issues, implement solutions and document problem resolutions.  Keep systematic records of hardware and software data, reported issues and resolutions.  

Software management including maintaining and upgrading a variety of commercial an public domain software packages on multiple platforms (Windows 95, 2000, NT, Mac OS), hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.  Assist with network wiring issues as needed.   

• Ensure the continued operation of information systems for CMA clients. 
• Perform outsourced contract and off-site technical/network support duties as assigned
• Respond quickly to client’s requests for support by providing professional and competent service.
• Maintain the support documentation for both internal and external (clients) systems.
• Assist management in making informed decisions on budget, planning and systems recommendations
• Keep abreast of technology, looking for ways to improve efficiency.  Test new hardware and software in a test-bed environment before it is deployed.

Business Hours – 8:30am to 5:30pm M-F
Extend hours when required

• Requires MCP
• Bachelor's degree / some college
• 2-4 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Visual/XBase language programming desirable.
• Familiarity with the Macintosh/Unix/Linux environments. 
• The ability to work quickly and function well in intensive and stressful situations is a must.
